MPFC Support.

Within and around the Mitchell Park Football Club exists a very special contingent.

This body is known as SUPPORTERS.

Supporters come in a variety of shapes, sizes and descriptions, ranging from local residents casually out for their constitutional, or taking their dog for its constitutional, who decide to stay for  a while to watch games, through to television crews producing amazing shows.

Clubs such as ours would not exist to function at their best without the army of volunteers who fulfil the many roles needed for the players to play their best week in week out, year in year out.

So... dear volunteers, not only do you know who you are, but you must be aware that  your input, however insignificant or tremendous it may seem, is so important and so very much appreciated.

How would our footy function if there was not a dedicated person to mark out the oval, a team to staff the refreshments sites, those at home supplying healthy food which dedicated players need, special encouragement in the down times and praise in the days of excellent achievement? The scoreboard and attendants – how would the game be without them?

Does our team always look well presented? Yes, thanks to well chosen and well laundered uniforms.  Do we have money necessary to run the club?  Yes, thanks to an assortment of ways of fundraising, from sponsors to organisers of functions, through to buyers of raffle tickets.  What a credit to the club are the committees, junior, senior, combined! How good are the meals lovingly prepared after games by players partners and friends?

Then there are coaches, trainers, umpires, team managers, water kids, runners. Bravo!  All of the above happens in a special bond of family and friends.  Standing or sitting around are the spectators – so important to MPFC.  Such a special family group with such a special focus – supporting the players win, lose   draw, victorious, elated or walking wounded. What a club to be a part of!
